Motorbike jackets, sizing help?

Question

Is an XL motorbike jacket made so that someone who is an XL (men) in other clothes can wear it comfortably with a jumper underneath? Or should I buy an XXL to fit it over a jumper?

(I've found some online, so I can't get Dad to try them on)

I would not recommend buying on line. Take your Dad to motorcycle shop to try on a few. Sizes vary and so it would be better for Dad to get a feel of what's comfortable in various makes.

Make a day of it with him and go for lunch too.

You cant were a two piece for racing, and you wont want a jumper on whilst you race either.
