Motorbike test, is it hard?

Hi everyone,

Im taking my practical motorbike test next month and I was wondering just how hard is it?

I have had a scooter in the past (around 3 years ago) and walked the CBT back then, I've also been driving a car for about 2 years so I have good road awarness, my only concern is how easy is it getting to grips with gears on a bike? What do you guys/girls think was more difficult, the bike or driving test?

The test that Im doing is over 3 to 4 days (which includes the CBT day), can you learn to ride a proper bike over that time period?

It is easy. Just listen to your insructors and do what they say.

If you have no experience, you prob wont pass. Its not hard if you have been riding, but should be hard enough that somebody who thinks they can, but cant... wont pass the test.

Take a safety course like MSF first.

I took my bike test last year and found it easy though that could have been because I had been driving for 12 years.  

As you have said the hardest thing for you is learning the gears, listen to what your instructor tells you and you will be fine.  

I took the DAS course and the test at the end and passed without any problems first time as I say to everyone you are just showing the examiner that you know how to handle a bike safely.

apparently its quite easy my friends 16yr old son past his 1st time an had never riden a bike before , personnally i passed so many yrs ago T'rex was still walking about lol best of luck an ride safe

you walked the cbt lol most ppl use a bike

cbt dl196 the B stands for basic

on your practical bike test its not basic and to answer your question yes you can do it in 3/4 days

its like doing a crash course  driving test you have got 3/4 full days thats 24/36 hours of training

if you do your car test how many hourly lessons did it take you ?
