Motorcycle Help?

I am 14 years old and I really like motorcycles...there so cool... so I really dont know ANYTHING about them,all I know is that I dont want to kill myself and that you shift somehow to change the speeds.So what im asking is for any information on how to use them,when I can drive one,were can I learn to drive them, what are the main things I need to know about them.I already know some pretty nice ones I liked at some motorcycle store... like 12,000 bucks...and I really want to get the one I like when I am really really ready so I dont wreck it.Thanks...appreciate any knowledge out there.

First, learn to ride. I know you can't ride on the road, but you must know someone who has a bit of land where you could ride a cheap little bike around. Look on amazon - you can buy little chinese bikes for only $500. Ideal for you to practice, and get the feel of it. I own 2 sportsbikes and I still love riding little bikes, just lots of fun, and when you fall off you laugh instead of needing to visit the hospital. If you can ride a pedal cycle, you already know how to balance and can ride one of these bikes - you just twist the throttle.

There is a book called Motorcyles for dummies, try there to start with. If you are still interested then look in your phone book or ask at your local dealer where they have lessons about motorcycles and how to ride safely.
