Motorcycle License question?

When you get motorcycle license, does it just say on your normal license that you can also drive a motorcycle?

in california it adds a m1 endorsement on the upper right corner of your same license. they send you a new one obviously.

In Virginia it says class M (m for motorcycle) on your regular driver's license.  Pretty sure it's the same way in all states.

It does if you already have a car license.  Otherwise you are -only- allowed to ride motorcycles.
