It says that I have to submit a proof that i have completed both driving education and driver training. (DL 387, DL 388, DL 388A, OL 237, or OL 238)

Do I have to take all of this(DL 387, DL 388, DL 388A, OL 237, or OL 238)

Can I just take one(DL 387) and be done with all of this drivers education/training stuff?

I'm 17 years old and live in los angeles california.

  1. At 17 you can take the written test at DMV.  This provides you with a motorcycle "Leaner's Permit".  It is not a full license, it is a restricted temporary license.  Because you are under 21 you must take the MSF/California Motorcycle Safety Program course.

After you pass the course you will a certificate (DL387?) in the mail that you take to the DMV.  Give the DL387 to the DMV and you will have your full motorcycle license.

  2. There is a thing called a telephone and a book called a phone book why don't you look up the number in the phone book and call them with the phone. It would be more accurate than asking here.
