Motorcycle VIN Code For engine size?

I have a Yamaha Maxim motorcycle. I belive its a 1982. But im trying to find the engine size for it. I thinks its a 750cc but im not 100% sure. Heres the VIN numbe for it.

  1. A VIN will give you number of cylinders in the code but not size... notice the 4 in the middle of the number.

    Both of those are for 1980 Model "650G's",,

    If Not Identical,,it's so close ya may never find the difference.

    Most all the info is same as yours.

    Might be useful sometimes.

  3. You can go to the site below and enter the vin and get a report on the motorcycle, and GET SOME information, the problem is cost ($40).

    Supposedly you can look at the castings, and around the base of the cylinders it will give the original engine size. Never tried that, so maybe it works.
