My muzzy exhaust dose sound pretty good, but It could be louder. I want people to hear me before they see me. I have a FULL Muzzy Exhaust on my zx6r Ninja, SO I dont plan on ripping that off. Is there any sort of add on i could get? I heard you could cut holes in the muffler, but that sounds kinda dumb to do. Isn't there like a cherry bomb or Something that they make for bikes to really make them loud. I dont want harley loud. I want sport bike loud. The whine of a ninja from a half a mile away. Well any thoughts would be great. thanks.

  1. I'm assuming this is a joke. Why not take the mufflers off and run with opn exhausts? I have an RC51 I ran for about 10 seconds with no mufflers. Sounded good, but deafening.

  2. It's not worth the effort man. Just stick with what you have. You could gut the cans (remove baffles) but that sounds annoying and corney.

Are you looking for attention? The bike alone should be doing the job. Don't mess your bike up.

  3. I disagree that "louder pipes safe life", except perhaps while splitting lanes.  But that wasn't your question.

Changing your Muzzy muffler will negatively impact performance, either in the mid range or upper end of the power band.  Believe or not, those muffler manufacturers spend a lot of time figure out how to improve power on each and every bike.

Many new brands now come with removable baffles for street/track use.  If budget is an issue, try an eBay auction.   Note that an older pipe will be louder unless it has been repacked.
