Motorcycle battery problem?

I accidently left the key in the on position for about a week on my bike. Before this the battery was in excellent condition and was kept on a battery tender. I went out to start it and it was completly flat. Is is safe to use the tender to charge it back full or did i kill the battery capacity forever?

  1. Charge it back up and it will likely be fine.

  2. a float charger only works on a battery that has a low charged. buy a new battery.

  3. Your battery should charge back up fine on the battery tender unless it is over 3 to 4 years old. At that point it is worth the $50 (walmart) to $180 (BMW gel bat) because the bike will leave you stranded someplace besides your comfortable home. Bikes are like Friends "constant companions who know you in depth but will leave you on your last nerve at the worst time"
