Motorcycle battery?

i have a motorcycle which i accidentally left the keys on and the battery went dead anyway started it with the kickstart and its started fine when i got back i switched it off the break light no longer work everything else does what could it be

  1. Take the bulb out and look at it. If it is clear and the filament is in place it is probably good. If the filament is broken/missing, or the bulb is burnt/black, it's bad.


  2. It is pretty frequent for bulbs to burn out when there is battery trouble. Also, as you probably already know, bike batteries are REALLY touchy. They never have enough power to begin with, and they drain too easily--even just by not riding it for a few weeks.

    Once the battery is drained like that, it is damaged, and it will never be itself again.You will find yourself having to make sure you always ride long distances, to give it enough charge to start up the bike the next time you ride!

    So just always be careful to keep your battery fully charged and in good condition, for the sake of your lights as well as to avoid having to jump-start your bike. (which can cause lots of problems, 'specially if you jump from a car or truck!)
