  1. Yeah.  What Ickysmits said...

  2. I'm a big fan of dual-sport bikes - and they're great for beginners.  I've never ridden the DRZ400, but it looks like a good choice.  The riding position is high so you can see in traffic and they're easy to handle.  These things are great to zip through the city and a blast to ride on trails.

I think you should get it, you'll have lots of fun.

  3. Sorry to say, but in the UK you can't have a bike at 15. At 16 with CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) it's no more than a 50cc, then at 17 you can ride - again with CBT - up to a 125cc. At 17 you can take your restricted licence test which enables you to ride a bike with no more than 33bhp of power which would put the drz400 out of your power range. You have to wait until you're 21+ till you can ride anything more powerful.

I was checking the seat height which is 35 inches. I'm a little taller than you and would struggle with that! Sachs do a cool 125 dirt bike that I've been on which you would fit onto.

Wait till your 16, do your training, then at 17 go for the Sachs 125 dirt bike. Good size and will gain you good experience. Then after that - if you wish - do your test.

    Good luck!
