Ok so I'm 18, i weigh 125 pounds and I'm learning how to ride motorcycles at the MSF. I have a 2008 Ninja 250R, do you think this bike looks good, or should i get a new one, if so what size? Is the 250 too small for me? Cuz i want to look good when i ride it

  1. The size is fine for a first bike.  You don't want a new bike for a first one, get a used one.  You will drop it, just a matter of time, and you don't want to drop a brand new one.  Learn on something older, then move up.

You really need to worry less about how you look and more about how you ride.  These things can kill you if you don't pay attention to them and everything/everyone else.  Learn how to ride it well and the looks will come with it.  Nothing better to laugh at than a new rider killing it at a stop light

  2. the 250 is fine for your weight and age, also very fast for a 250. if you want to look good riding then learn how to ride well.

  3. Just make sure you look good

  4. If you are just learning to ride, stay with the 250... its perfect for you. at 125 pounds, as long as you aren't like 6'6, you will look just fine on it. But understand that the Bike is what it is...its a Ninja 250.

But you made the right choice starting out...

I can't count the number of times I have walked into the Honda/Suzuki shop, or the Yamaha shop and watched some 18 year old kid putting a down payment on and R1, or Hayabusa... and I try to picture what he will look like once he doesn't have any skin on his arms and back.

Don't worry, you are going to look good on your bike...because you will be upright, headlight forward, and in between the lines...not upside down, backwards, and skinless!!!

  5. I think you're another Ninja Troll

  6. the 250 is perfect right now for you actually.

its really fast, and you dont want to get the best bike for your first one, cause its not exactly gonna look to good when you crash cause you cant control it.

    so a 250 is a perfect learner!!

  7. If you already have an 08 250r the bike has to be new and getting a different one at this point would be throwing away money, you might as well use it for a year before upgrading.
