  1. In round terms you have to obtain a Certificate of Basic Training, known as the CBT, before you proceed to go for your theory and practical tests.  The idea is that you at least have a basic idea rather than wobble off into traffic on your own as was the case before.  The CBT lasts for 2 years for a motorcycle, unlimited for a moped.  It has to be done by training with qualified trainers.

I'd go through your phone book for motorcycle trainers near you and have a chat with them.

  2. u need to sit your cbt, it costs about 90 quid, its a one day course and you can drive anythin up to a 125cc if you want somethin bigger you go for the full license, there are two, one means you can drive up to a think its 400cc or similar for two years as long as you wear l plates and dont carry passengers, then after the two years from passing that test your lisence automatically updates for you to drive any size engine. or you could go for the big one it costs five hundred and it allows you to drive any size engine when test is past

  4. the best way for you  is direct access  sign up for a 5 day course with your local rider training this includes cbt & test at the end of it you should have your bike licence,
