Do I need to rejet the carbs on my Harley low rider if I install new SLIP ON pipes?? If so should I pay to have it done with a dyno or do it myself? Thanks to those motorcycle enthusiasts with answers for me!

  1. It depends on the year of your bike. If it has 02 sensers on it you can't do anything to it with spending about $1500-2000. If no sensers, you could get away without doing anything, just maybe make it a little richer.

  2. With a slip on pipe, you don't have to re-jet, but it wouldn't hurt.  When you get a full system, definitely re-jet and get it dyno'd.

  3. Most aftermarket exhaust manufacturers provide jet and/or needle information on their websites.  There should be a "Tech" forum on the H.O.G. site.  Most folks there are happy to help.  You CAN do it yourself.

I'm into Triumphs more than Harleys but I'm sure there are lots of Harley owners who can steer you in the right direction.

  4. Go to your local dealer and get a Dyna Jet Kit for your bike follow the instructions in the kit and your set to go.
