Motorcycle permit test?

I was just wondering if i have to make an appointment to take the permit test or if i can just walk in the dmv and take it. Also im 17, so do i have to go with a parent to take it or can i just go alone?

What state?  Go to the DMV website for your state and you can find out.  Usually you have to make an appointment and yes, since you're a minor you have to have someone accompany you.

if it is just a written test you can just go in and take it.  (That is how it is in Minnesota) and you shouldnt need a parent
