  1. jake: ive been driving two years and i havent once topped out anything i have driven. just because you were a wreckless driver doesnt mean your kids will be ! :P dont be strict on them because you were crazy as a kid. at least let them ride small bikes...that CANT even go fast.

  2. for your first bike if its a crotch-rocket i say... DONT GET ANYTHING OVER 250cc!!!! Trust me, a 250 is more than enough powah to quench your lust for speed...

If you've ever seen an accident that coulda been prevented if the victome woulda started off on a bike that he could handl than you're view point on bikes changes drasticaly...

Hope that answers your question, drave safe and be sane.

  3. They have this rule in place so people don't try to take their test on something smaller and more manuverable. Yes, you can use anything bigger. Just make sure you are comfortable on it. I used my 97 Fat Boy fully dressed for my test.

  4. 250 cc is enough to travel anywhere and very, veryreliable and easier to operate than a big heavy bike. all the other stuff is showoff stuff. just think of it as good, reliable transportation. nobody cares what you drive except you. dont be a showoff.

  5. By law, there are no size limits.

    50cc - 1800cc

    America - freedom of choice.

  6. You need a 250, not a ZX6R!

You will die on the bigger bike, if you do not ride a full season at around 250ccs.

This is a fact of riding, do this right, or you will die, simple as that.

A motorcycle is a motor with 2 wheels that is inherently unstable, and it is not a trick to be underestimated.

Mostly kids want these road rockets (there are exceptions), and it is because they have more balls than brains!  Do not think with testocerone, that will kill you.

  7. if your thinking of getting a ZX6R for a first bike please dont. your just going to kill yourself and you will become just another statistic that the opponents of motorcycling will use against us. try something along the lines of the Suzuki SV650, or the Kawi Ninja 650R

  8. I care what you drive, bu I'm eighteen, I ride a 600 and I know how someone your age and my age is gonna ride, and add to the fact that you have no experience following traffic laws drivingn actual car?, I would hav to say ride the 250 until you're at least 17.

I'm not gonna let my kids ride motorcycles until they're 18 when I can't stop them.

I don't know how you think you're gonna ride but when I first started driving, I didn't think I would speed that much. but I had topped out my moms car within the first month of driving.

In short, the last thing you need is a bike that goes 155mph, because you will hit that, and without much experience, you will probably make a mistake.
