Motorcycle travel into Mexico

Is it feasible to do this want to get down to Guadalajara area and tour for 2-3 wks in Jan 09? Thanks for any info

  1. Yes it is possible.   I am not sure what information you need since you did not mention where you were coming from and what kind of passport you have.  The Temporary import permit for motor cycles is different than cars.  Many roads are not as good as in the US or Canada but it certanly can be done.

Very feasible.  Just getting to GDL can be a blast.  The toll roads are a little expensive, so the average Mexican does not use them and you mostly have the road to yourself, with no speed limit.  But you do have to ride alert, because a burro or dog could wander onto the road at anytime.  It would be a good idea if you could have some buddies ride with you to share the experience.  Plus you can chain the bikes together to make them harder to steal.  There's only a small probability that your bike might get stolen, it would sure ruin the trip if it did happen.
