  1. Take the tank off again. You're going to find you knocked loose a connector, or pulled one wire out of some connector. Just reseat ever connector you see under the tank, or on any harness you see coming out from under the tank.

  2. The big red button on the handle bars? Did you flip it accidentally?

  3. also, electronic brains look for the connection to the tank gauge, speedometer ect. youve disconnected something.

    what kind of bike?

  4. did you accidentally kick it into gear?

most modern bikes have a safety switch that will cut the starter if the bike is in gear and stand is down...

edit: rev, that will only work if he puts the kickstand up...

regardless of clutch, the bike will not start in gear with stand down...(most bikes)

  5. Your problem might have been that you kicked it into gear accidentally, or one of your wires on the bike has been disconnected. My bike had the same problem I went over it and found that the starter wire was disconnected. I hope this helps.

  6. if your bike has a vacuum petcock then it is very possible that you forgot to reconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold to the petcock, this could be easy to do because if you have a carb then it probably has some vent hoses that are meant to be left unconnected, and I could see how your petcock vacuum line could be confused for one of those.

also, you might have accidentally disconnected the coil wires, if they are right there by the tank.

  7. I agree with MAGZ... if you don't have a N indicator then pull in the clutch and try to start it. If that doesn't work, check to see if you pinched the kickstand cut out switch (if your bike has one).

  8. Do you hear the fuel pump kick in if its fuel injected? it maybe a old battery go get the battery tested auto part stores do it for free, remember if it is a battery and you get a new one you have to charge most motorcyle batterys so make sure you do that to

my bike battery just died and it wouldnt start either and it just came out the blue but if your light turns on when bike is on then your bat is prob ok but if nothing comes on when you turn it on b4 you start it then i dont know what, maybe a sensor from your kickstand is messes up cuz you know how they shut off when you put down kick stand if its in gear

hahah that guy said "that big red button, did you flip it?" haha good point though

  9. hey magz what happened to your picture?
