  1. try this website. should have what your looking for

  2. I don't understand the thumbs down for ridley... they are excellent bikes built specifically for smaller women... and one of few offering automatic trans... by the by... the web site is www.ridleymotorcycle.com

  3. actually the bikes with the lowest seat hight are cruisers. especially Harley Davidson. A sportster would fit you perfect. But if its your first bike I would sugest the honda shadow V.L.X. 600.

  4. most of the cruiser bikes will fit the bill..

    Virago 250/  550..

    Suzuki Savage 650..

  5. Honda Rebel

    Suzuki GZ 250

    Yamaha V-Star 250

Are all perfect beginner bikes for short people.  They range in price from $3,200 - $3,700 new.

  6. Im only 5' 1" but i have a very short inseam.

I ride a Yamaha R6 with lower links (drops the bike 3").

for a beginner i'd start off with a Ninja 250. its light, and short for those of us that are heigh challenged

And dont forget to attend a Motorcycle Safety foundation class, if you a new rider. The lessons you learn are invaluable.

  7. well since your new Id suggest NOT a NEW BIKE, but a used one. Also a cruiser would be best. Now you can have fun while you ride from dealer to dealer on a sat afternoon and sit on as many bikes as you can, note which ones fit you right, you can reach the floor with both feet, etc. Then after you know which ones fit you right (500 to 750cc) then look in the paper for one of these used, or a used one at the dealer. There getting them everyday and can find you one fast.

I am not much talker than you.  And my last bike was very confortable (Kawasaki Vulcan 500) - 25 inch seat height.  Also many new large scooters are designed for low seathing (like Suzuki Burgman 400).

I was sitting no my budd's Burgman yesterday and it was surpisingly easy to sit on the large scooter.  He also owns 1200 CC Harley Davishon sportster.  And he's loving the Suzuki more - as it is easier to ride, and simpler to maintain, and ease of operation (like no clutch, no gears, no manual chokes, etc.)

Read the review and see that EVERYBODY loves the Suzuki.

    Good luck...

  9. The Honda Rebel and Yamaha Virago both have low seat height and the Harley sportster 883 qualifies as well.

  10. A Ridley ! Their chopper has a 24" standover height. And this bike looks cool !

  11. If you are looking for something sporty, then consider the Moto Guzzi 750 Breva. They even have an optional low lady seat you can use instead of the regular seat.

I road tested such a 750 Breva. I was very impressed with it. I don't have long legs and I was able to plant both feet flat on the ground. The bike really fits the rider - a trademark of European bikes.

Plus the 750 Breva is fuel injected, has maint free shaft drive, very nimble, and has a gas tank that is almost 5 gallons. At near 50 MPG you can probably go triple the distance as your riding buddies would between gas stops.

Price is about $7,800. But that's only the official asking price. Dealers usually negotiate.

Like I said, this bike is if you are not into the crusier scene.
