  1. You need a M/C license ponygurl... look into the Riders Edge school at a local Harley dealer... take the course... if you pass you'll get your licence... BUT YOU MUST TAKE A COURSE...promise me...

  2. Some states will let you get a learners permit for motorcycling before a full license.  A small dirt bike to get used to shifting will give you some feel for it if you are in an area that you can have some room to practice off road without having to motorcross.  Take an MSF course.  It will teach you alot and also let you get a feel for motorcycles without having to buy one.

  3. Assuming you are in the US, go to this website:

    http://www.msf-usa.org/

They have all the info you need as far as courses and state requirements to ride.

Make sure you sign up for the first one you can take!  I wish I had done it when I was younger.  Riding is awesome.

  4. It really depends what state you are in. Some states offer permits where you take a test (both driving and regular) and you can ride basically anytime except at night. I'm not sure what the rates are for your area but look online for a course you can take near you. Hope this helps! :)

  5. yes yes yes

  6. you first need a drivers license, then u need to take a written permit test, then u have 1 year to pass a drivers test, or once u have the permit, take the motorcylce safety program and get your license through that

  7. Yes. You must have either a class M drivers license or a motorcycle endorsement to your license to ride Motorcycles in almost every state.

Some states REQUIRE a basic Riders Course to get a license, and most states will grant a motorcycle endorsement as soon as you take and pass the weekend long Basic Riders Class.

If you don't take the course, you have to take a test covering basic laws and concepts for traveling on the public highways (a written test, same as the car test), and a further exam on safe operation of a motorcycle (a riding test) as well as any eye exam, and possible your parents written permission, to get a drivers license, or Motorcycle license.

  8. In my state, you can ride a 250cc or smaller motorcycle if you are 15 yrs old. That may be different where you live.

You must take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course (called Basic Rider Course or, BRC).  After passing that you must take the written exam at the Dept. of Motor Vehicles.
