  1. I still say a necessity , for sanity !

  2. ...so motorcycling today is fun as h**l, an escape from the grind, and becoming a necessity again as fuel prices go sky high.

  3. no years ago it was cheap, reliable transportation. then Henry Ford made the Model T which was cheap and reliable and most of your bike companies went under. Leaving H.D. and Indian to fight it out. Indian by the way had electric start way before anybody else.As well as many other firsts. But Harley got the military contracts during both world wars and so beat them out.Indian also missread the market and tried to make a smaller bike like Triumph and went under.

  4. 150 years ago riding a horse was a necessity, so is riding a horse today one?  Not unless you're an Amish.  I say we send all the horses we can to France so they can eat them and any leftover horses we grind into pet food.  I'm sure you can tell I just love horses.....

  5. a game of chance to see which dumb "immigrant" woman talking on a cell phone wants to run you over next

  6. Motor cycling is------- not like it used to be.

  7. A way of life

  8. Unfortunately in the U.S. it has become a fashion statement. Visit other countries around the world and you will witness riders using motorcycles as a way of performing everyday day tasks. Not a chance to decide to give an oncoming rider if you give the two finger "wave" depending upon what brand of bike you ride. I only hope that fuel prices become so high that garage queen bikers will pull out the motorcycle and ride it for what it is. transportation at a minimal cost.

  9. the whole reason i bought a road bike was gas prices. been ridin offroad for years

  10. I agree with Sid. You never see a bike in front of a psychiatrist's office.

  11. ... wasted on teenage idiots.

  12. When was it a necessity....I missed that email.
