Motorlola Q Freeze Problem

I just got my brand new Moto Q yesterday, and I was using it today and it shut off all of a sudden. I went to turn it on and it froze on the Verizon Screen. I tried everything, taking the battery out, letting it set without it for a while, charging it, everything basically except take it to Verizon. Is there anyhing I could do?

Look up "hard reset" using buttons and stylus in the manual.
