Hi, i have a Motorola V3i and it came with a charger:

Input: 100-240v ` 50-60hz, 0.15a

Output: 5v - 550mA

i recently found another, very similar charger...

Input: 100-240v ` 50-60hz, 0.15a

Output: 5v - 850mA

As you can see, the only difference is 300mA.. my question is, if i use the 850mA Charger on my phone which came with a 550mA charger, will i break my phone??

  1. It will not break your phone.  It probably will work fine as long as the connector fits.   If the voltage rating of the charger was higher than 5v then I would not chance it, but your phone is not effected by a charger that can supply somewhat more current.
