Motorola z8 keeps switching off every few hours. is it a virus? if not what is wrong with the phone?

Someone sent me an sos message from a samsung j600 to a motorola z8 phone to check whether the sos message was working. After that person sent me the sos message from the samsung j600 my phone keeps turning off every few hours and i have to maunally turn it back on. what is wrong with my motorola z8? did i get sent a virus?

  1. Probably not a virus, but perhaps the software got a bit corrupted.

    I'd try updating the software and if that doesn't work,contact your network and see what they suggest.


  2. It is definitely not a virus - no viruses exist for this particular phone model. Most likely, the problem is caused by some kind of hardware failure (perhaps the battery?). Take it to a repair shop.

Yes that's correct, Viruses don't actually exist for your phone...i don't believe this is a problem with the battery either...restore the phone back to factory settings or a master reset on the phone and that should solve the problem otherwise take the phone back to from where you've bought it.
