Motorsport news: Dani Pedrosa endures collarbone fracture after crashing in Motegi
Dani Pedrosa has broken his collarbone after a crash during the practice session at Motegi for the upcoming Japanese MotoGP.
The 25-year-old rider from the Honda team endured double fracture after a crash while practicing for the upcoming MotoGP race. It is reported that the Spaniard will now fly to Spain for surgery and further medical treatment. It is also reported that the
veteran rider will most probably miss at least three next races.
The accident of Dani Pedrosa has opened a window of opportunity for his countryman Jorge Lorenzo, as Lorenzo is the only rival who has got the chance of snatching the world title. Now the absence of Pedrosa from the racing circuit has made a paved way for

According to a report the accident happened when Pedrosa tried to apply brake for the turn nine during the practice and lost his control over his bike and fell with his left leg remaining under the bike. It is reported that the accident was a result of the
problem with the choke cable. The problem with the choke has been resolved by the technical team but the accident has raised some questions about the serious technical problem in the bike.
When Pedrosa was asked about the incident, he expressed himself in a state of despair and told the media that the accident has caught him in the very crucial moment of his career as he was on the verge of finishing the season with the world title. He added
that he knew it from the first moment that the injury is a fatal one and it will take him some time to recover.
According to the witnesses the accident happened in a very quick succession. When Pedrosa was asked questioned about the accident, the 25-year-old told the media that he tried his level best to gain control over the bike but all of his efforts went in vain.
While talking about his condition after the accident Dani told the media that it was very painful for him, and he knew from the first moment that his chances of racing in the next event are bleak. He added that the impact of the accident was very hard on his
collarbone and left ankle, and he is feeling very bad about his present condition.
According to the medical director of MotoGP Michele Macchiagodena, Dani Pedrosa will miss the upcoming event which is going to be held in Malaysia. He added that the current medical condition of the Spaniard is not very serious but still it will take him
some time to recover as the fractured collarbone always needs some time to heal.
By crashing the bike during the practice session the 25-year-old veteran rider has handed the world title to his Spanish rival Jorge Lorenzo. Currently Lorenzo is leading the championship race by fifty six points with five races more to go.
