Motrola Mobility announces Golf Edition for its MotoActv brand – Golf News
Motrola Mobility has introduced a new product in the market called ‘MotoActv Golf Edition’ for the golf lovers who like to track their performance on the golf course.
The Product is basically a wristband device just like a watch that keeps the record of each and every move a player makes on the course. It provides a satellite view of their each and every activity on the golf course.
It can also keep a record of their scores and other key stats during the game. Moreover, a player can take help from it to organize his clubs for different shots to play.
Paul Nicholson, Director of marketing for companion products at Motorola Mobility, told that many players in the Arnold Palmer Invitational wore the device during the tournament.
The three-time major winner, Bubba Watson was also among the players who were witnessed using the product throughout the tournament.
“Before you would use your laser finders or a GPS device. But now you can use this wrist device and there's no fumbling for pencils or your range finder,” Nicholson said.
“Once you finish your game, you can go to any Wi-Fi hot spot and upload all your information for free to use the clubhouse. It provides a virtual satellite view of your entire golf round,” he added.
According to him, the product has summed up most of the features that different products in the market provide separately.
Therefore, it has the potential to become a part of every player’s accessories kit in the time to come. “This really is a game changer on visualizing your game,” he said.
The MotoActv device was introduced in the market last year. However, the company plans to launch the product in different sports categories now.
For this purpose, it has announced its Golf Edition that is out for sale in the market from April 1, 2012.
It is being observed that many players already started using the product prior to the launch of the golf edition. Therefore, it is expected to be a big hit because of the additional features offered for the golf players.
