Mount Hollow tipped to win Bath Ales Summer´s Hare Handicap
Mount Hollow is tipped to win the Bath Ales Summer´s Hare Handicap at Bath in England on Friday, June 8, 2012. The winner of the class-4 event will bag a cash prize of £4,075 in the end.
The going is good to soft in the 5 furlong 161 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 20:10 GMT. A total of 15 entries have been confirmed for action and their names are as follows: Apollo D´negro, Crew Cut, Mount Hollow, Barons Spy, Divine Call, Night
Trade, Heartsong, Ertikaan, Rowe Park, Rulesn´regulations, Roodee Queen, Mambo Spirit, Marygold, Style And Panache and Quasi Congaree.
Out of the above mentioned runners, there is a doubt over the participation of Style And Panache, Rowe Park and Marygold. They were not in good form, thus it would have been hard for them to attract bets today.
However, Mount Hollow seems to have the experience and skills to fight for victory at Bath. He has got very good speed, thus the punters might risk some money on him. However, he will have to fight extremely hard in order to claim the Bath Ales Summer´s
Hare Handicap, as he will be up against some fierce competitors.
The seven-year-old gelding has entered 50 races until now, winning nine of them and finishing runner up on seven times. In addition to that, he has also secured the third spot on a couple of occasions, which shows that he is a fierce competitor.
However, the Reg Hollinshead’s trainee has lost some rhythm over the past couple of events, which suggests that he might struggle to deliver a positive result today. He finished seventh in his most recent race and will need to make a big improvement at Bath.
Mount Hollow will be partnered by Jack Duern, who has not enjoyed a lot of success at this level and will be looking forward to turn the tables today. His strike rate is poor, which shows that he lacks consistency.
Another runner, who has got a lot of experience, is Barons Spy. He has participated in 81 events until now, winning 11 of them and finished runner up on the same number of times.
