Question:

Mountain Bike Recomendation?

Ive been mountain biking for about 3 years. I love it! I need a hardtail bike that can be taken off jumps, and survive challenging trails. My current bike is an 05 Giant Boulder, and it breaks after every jump. Any recommendations for a bike would great, under $1000.

  1. Fisher's HKEK aka Hoo Koo E Koo.

  2. I would go back to your Giant dealer and tell them what type of jumping you are doing. Giant has a few HT bikes that will meet your needs the Boulder is not one of them, it is an entry level trail bike and was never meant for jumping.

  3. Gary Fishers are good bikes. Another choice in your budget is a Raleigh M80. That was what I was going to get before I decided to go full suspension. There have been some guided mountain bike tours of the new state park near San Antonio. Government Canyon? I can't remember the name, but it is a way to see the park before it's open to the general public.

  4. yeap i would stick with giant. they are very good, take it to the shop. check ebay for used giant, or rocky mountain for ht bike
