  1. If I do any north shore I wear wrap around shins and arms, hardtails can buck you off... pedals to the back of the leg!

But not for average riding, I'm more into "all mountain".

  2. If you are a real serious biker in real serious terrain and love to ride on the edge, you wear body armor.    Elbow pads and knee and/or shin guards at least.  If you ride like a sissy and never push yourself, you dont wear it.

  3. it depends,

Do you plan to jump, huck, go downhill and get aggressive a lot? Most freeride and downhill riders wear medium to full body armor to protect themselves from their technical riding skills.

Or do you just want to feel safer when you ride?

Either way, if you feel that the extra protection makes your ride easier because it gives you emotional comfort, go for it.

If you ride downhill/freeride or just plain aggresive I suggest you do.

If you're only riding easy trails or cross-country the extra weight maybe counter productive.

Don't let other riders influence your decision whether to wear extra protection or not.

  4. Not me. I wear helmet, shorts, jersey, gloves, and sunglasses. Sometimes I wear cycling shoes.

  5. No, typical protective wear would be a armor suit, like a knight.

  6. No, that's more for BMX riding

  7. Where i come from>> we wear just a pair o shorts and a pair o shoes. The rest is uneeded.
