What are the essential tools and equipment to carry when you ride to avoid problems?

what i bring for long freeride/park riding is simple: patch kit, allen wrenches, shock pump (cheap and you can pump up tires with it although it will take forever although if you want CO2 is better) but the most important biking tool is duct tape :P

I have had soooooooo many tools in my saddle bag but what I have chosen is

1. a small c02 pump and cartridge ( for flats)

2. a spare tube

3. a multi tool such as my favorite the Crank Brothers 19 multi tool (you wont ever need to buy another bike tool)

4. tire levers (if you cannot get the tire of the rim by hand which can be done with a little practice)

5. oh and the patch kit....
