Mountain bike for £150ish???????

hi was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the best bike would be for this price range. its just for fitness, not taking it too seriously. and where to get it from. help would be much appreciated

I'd sell you my old one - a second hand Claud Butler, but you'd have to live in Yorkshire as I've just sold my car to buy a much better hard-tail with super shocks so that I can do the commute the healthy way rather than the lazy way. Judging by the weather I'll be investing in some expensive waterproofs too.

    Besides that I'd recommend anything circa £150-£200 from Evans. They are a big bike chain store, but if you want something for general use that'd do the trick, plus its all pretty sturdy stuff. Try t aim for something without front shocks at that price, as they're neither use nor ornament.

  4. visit your local bike shop, they will advise you, don't buy a heavy mountain bike if you are only using it on road or tracks, do not buy mail order unless you are 100% sure you can assemble it safely.
