Mountain bike racing help?

i want to start mountain bike 4 cross racing at 15 can you provide me with any infomation about open races and how to get into it

1. Where do you live?

2. Learn how to race DS slalom also, Most of your mountain bike events will have one or the other. I know one of the biggest races in the US is Sea Otter Classic and they have dropped MTX for DS and BMX.
