Mountaineers gearing up for Zimbabwe's domestic season

A significant development took place when domestic franchise Mountaineers signed former Zimbabwe seamer Tinashe Panyangara for the upcoming season.
Tinashe, who has not played elite cricket since 2005, is all set to make a comeback to Zimbabwe cricket after the Mountaineers signed him for their 2010/11 season. Panyangara, who once played for the then provincial team Manicaland, had shown interest in playing for the Mountaineers while talking to a local news agency a few days back. The chief executive of the franchise Phil Senzani told media reporters that since the time the Mountaineers management had heard about his interest in joining the side for the coming season, they just thought to benefit from his comeback. Senzani was hopeful that the presence of Panyangara will add value to the Mountaineers.
"When we heard of Panyangara's interests in joining the Mountaineers, we thought it is only befitting that he returns to us. We believe that his presence will certainly add value to the franchise."
