The Mashonaland Eagles followed up a solid batting performance with a promising bowling display on the first day of their ongoing first-class match against the Mountaineers in the Logan Cup, posting a total of 343 before reducing their opponents to 13 for
2 (trailing by 330 runs) by stumps on November 6 at the Mutare Sports Club.
The Eagles won the toss and decided to bat first – while their innings was peppered with a handful of solid performances which enabled them to reach a total of 343, the Mountaineers’ Shingi Masakadza (22-3-99-3) and Natsai M’shangwe (23-2-114-3), supported
by Tendai Chatara (24.1-5-86-2) and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Donald-Tiripano-c1393 (14-2-43-2), managed to bowl them all out on the first day.

suit in the 23rd and 33rd over respectively, both undone by M’shangwe, and the Eagles found themselves at 150 for 3.
Skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sikandar-Raza-Butt-c90274 (16) both joined forces for a 43-run partnership for the fourth wicket, but both were bowled by Shingi Masakadza, leaving their side at 206 for 5 by the 50th over. However, wicketkeeper batsman
