  1. i have to say true because earthquakes constantly push up and slide over other tectonic plates causing landforms like mountains

  2. YES  it is true...

... but   very .. very .. very .. very ..  slowly   in most cases.

As the tectonic plates of the earths crust move, some plates go down underneath other plates, which then get pushed up and form our mountains. This happens at, like, half and inch a year sort of thing, so you don't really ever notice it happening, unless there is an earthquake and a plate does a major slip!

  3. True.  It's a very slow process though and takes millions of years.  The Himalayas are still growing.  In another million years or so, Hawaii will have a new island.  That mountain is growing underwater and will break the surface in the distant future.  When the Earth's tectonic plates push against each other, on plate goes underneath and pushes the other upwards.  And mountains are formed.  The Sierra Nevada range in California along the Pacific Plate is relatively "new" whereas the Appalachian mountains in the eastern U.S. are very, very old.

  4. true.

because the earth's tectonic plates are constantly moving. So yes, mountains are constantly growing at about 1inch/year

  5. True

  6. TRUE, FORMED AND ERODED AWAY.

  7. THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE IS IN CONSTANT FLUX. FROM THE TALLEST MOUNTAINS TO THE DEPTHS OF THE OCEAN, FROM THE FARTHEST REACHES OF OUTERSPACE TO EVERY CELL WITHIN EVERY ORGANISM. THERE IS OLD SAYING THAT GOES WE EITHER CHANGE OR DIE. NATURE IS THAT SIMPLE.

  8. true. because the earth is constantly changing. because of folds and faults.
