Question:

Mounting Screws for Panasonic TH-42PX75U?

Okay, I found the mounting holes, and I found out what type of screws I need, but now I can't find where to get the screws. This is the info I have: We recommend you use the optional mounting brackets manufactured by Panasonic. However, if you choose to use another brand of wall bracket, please be sure it will accommodate the position of the mounting bolt holes on the Panasonic Plasma TV (660mm x 320mm for models up to 58", 1075.2mm x 330mm for 65" models), the thread of the screws (M8 type), and support the weight of the display (consult the Operating Instruction manual for your model).

So, I've looked everywhere and can't find M8 screws 660mm x 320mm. Help please!

  1. I hope that you have signed-up for the Plasma Concierge service with Panasonic. If not, you can go to their web site http://www.panasonic.com and sign-up now. All it takes is your model number and serial number. Once you have the Plasma Concierge service, you can go on-line with a live service rep and ask where you can get replacement bolts. These ppl are so nice they may just mail you out a free set!

  2. Well what happened to the M8 Screws screwed in the back of your TV set???

    They come with it....

If you bought it used, you want the previous owner to give up those screws....

If they don't....well you have to call Panasonic to get them....because I doubt you'll find M8's at the local hardware store (but try Lowe's)

    Did you ever measure/convert those values?  Jesus 660 x 320 is like a 2 1/2 inch s***w with a 1 1/4 inch size......

    And 1075 is like a 4 inch s***w.....Geez that's gi-normous

I know that most people use a good solid  M8 x 20mm long s***w if they don't have the originals.....no longer than 25mm, as the power board is located under the left side mounting holes.....

And for the wall screws, use a #12 with a 2 1/2 inch length....into the studs.

And if you're using drywall anchors, try to get a butterfly type to spread the weight behind the drywall......
