i have a 10ft x10ft wallpaper mural cut into 8 strips for my wall. the company that sold it sent wallpaper paste however as i am renting my home i do not want to damage the walls when it comes time to leave and i want to keep my mural that i paid good money for, what should i use. the foam adhesives are to thick, i want it flush against the wall. i don't mind having to use a goof-off adhesive remover if necessary i just want a good hold with minimal damage and easy removal.

  1. Put up mural using starch.  This will adhere as well as paste but to remove just wet down mural and pull off.

  2. You will probably have some air pockets between each piece of double-stick tape but overall, it can work just won't be perfect.

You might want to start with just adhering 1 or 2 pieces and removing them to be sure they don't harm the wall either.

  3. In that case use the double stick tape around all the edges and and about every 2 feet across it. You will probably need anther person to help you put it up...one holds it up to edge of ceiling while other one smooths it down. When you take it down just cover the double stick tape with regular tape so it won't stick to itself and you can roll it up.
