Mountjoy Osprey to thrash competition in the Grade OR Gala Coral Standard at Romford
Romford is an exciting arena for greyhound racing enthusiasts. The Grade OR Gala Coral Standard will take place at this track on 24th February, 2012. 6 hounds will race for a purse of £175 on a track that covers a distance of 400 metres.
The hounds competing in this race are:
Nans Turbo,
Shades Of Nobby,
Night Fever,
Young Vicarious,
Mountjoy Osprey, and
Sable Blitz.
Nans Turbo, son of Crash, out of Ballyguiry Jodie, ran well in his last race.
His trainer, E.Gaskin, is pleased with his first finish at Hove, where he defeated Killeacle Ruso, by 1 ¼ lengths in 16.50, in the Grade OR Gala Coral Sprint – Dup, which ran across a distance of 285 metres, on 19th February, 2012.
Shades of Nobby, son of Ace Hi Rumble, out of Magpie Tango, finished in fourth place,
  in the Grade OR Worthingtons 480M Trophy, at Nottingham, on 20th February, 2012.
Night Fever, son of Ballymac Maeve, out of Tahiti Pearl, secured a placed position in his previous race.
Trained by P. Dolby, Night Fever finished 3rd in the Grade A1 420M Flat, which was held at Peterborough, on 18th February, 2012.
 Young Vicarious, son of Droopys Kewell, out of A Mon Avis, finished twice as a runner-up. His trainer, P. Young is hoping that Young Vicarious will able to break out of this consistency.
He finished in second at Swindon, on 14th February, 2012, where he was defeated by Jaytee Tiger, by 4 lengths.
His other second place finish was at Hove, in the Grade OR Gala Coral 475 – Dup, where he was defeated by Loaded Dice by 2 ¼ lengths, on 19th February, 2012.
Trained by M. Wallis, Mountjoy Osprey has already secured a hat-trick. He is in terrific form and will continue to breeze through the races.
The son of Droopys Scolari, out of Star Of Dromin, defeated Sable Blitz in the last race, which was the Grade OR London Road Standard, by 2 ¼ lengths.
Sable Blitz, the son of Droopys Maldini,out of Pinewood Linda,  has already been defeated by Mountjoy Osprey.  His trainer, A. Ingram, is hoping that he will be able to defeat Mountjoy Osprey.
With his consecutive first place finishes, Mountjoy Osprey is the race favourite with winning odds of 1 to 5.
Nans Turbo is predicted to finish in second place.
The contenders for third place are Sable Blitz and Young Vicarious as their winning odds are calculated as 12 to 1.
