Mountjoy Rock as always has proved that he is surely the real go getter with his get up and go tempo in the BVOF Northern Flat Championship

Mountjoy Rock, a victorious hound, who would not miss an oppotunity of giving a hit, won the purse for his trainer E T Parker as he stole the show at the Belle Vue race track in the BVOF Northern Flat Championship's Heat 3.
The Grade OR 470 meter race, entailing a purse of £100, held on Thursday, the 8th of September, 2011, was contended by 6 warrior hounds.
The champion of John Smith’s Peterborough Derby 2011, of the final held on the 6th of September, did not gave any of his contenders a chance to win the purse.
The black dog is known for his speed and prompt attitude, which helps him in grabbing the spotlight every now and then.
The day by day increase in his winnings is becoming a threat for other hounds and their trainers.
As usual, trainer E T Parker kept his chin up because he knew his brave champ would give a tremendous hit in the BVOF Northern Flat Championship's Heat 3.
The ½ favourite three-year-old, wearing white and black shirt, rushed as soon as trap 3 opened.
With a marvelous and extremely high pace, Mountjoy Rock preceded for the lure.
Black Shaw’s son out of Noelles Amarillo, reached the wire by leading the race till the end.
Railing through the dirt of Belle Vue racetrack, the hound won the purse for E T Parker by covering the distance in 27.36 seconds.
Following him was Vatican Stein who finished second by 5 ½ lengths for trainer, P J Rosney.
The black dog, being the 10/1 favourite, began his chase from trap 1 with tremendous speed.
Although the two-year-old, wearing red and white, railed really well, he finished the race by the skin of his teeth, covering the distance in 27.80 seconds.
Little Sensation was 2 lengths behind when Vatican Stein crossed the wire, finishing third.
The brindle dog was also conditioned by P J Rosney, giving Rosney a 2nd and 3rd position hound in the race.
The three-year-old 7/2 favourite presented a clear run as he streamed through trap 4, wearing black and white, but eventually, as he reached the middle, he was overtaken by Vatican Stein, covering the distance in 27.96 seconds.

Sundance Kid, trained by J M Walton, finishing fourth in the race by ½ a length as he got crowded by 3 lengths.
His chase from trap 2 made him reach the finish line in a total time of 28 seconds.
Sundance Kid was followed by Droopys Maxwell by ½ a length. His slow start from trap 5 was not the only reason for him to finish fifth, but he also got crowded by 1 length.
Trainer M Walsh's 7/1 favourite covered the entire distance in 28.04 seconds, whereas the last hound to cross the wire, Bandetto, reached the line 25 seconds after Droopys Maxwell.
Trainer A P Heyes’s fawn dog got crowded by ¼ length as he raced out of trap 6, covering the distance in 28.29 seconds to finish sixth.
The race concluded by rewarding the winner of the event, Mountjoy Rock, with £100, while the rest of the pack was given £25 each.
