Mountjoy Rock likely to take the top spot in Belle Vue Regular
Mountjoy Rock is likely to prevail in the Belle Vue Regular at in England on Thursday, April 5, 2012. The winning hound of the Grade OR, 470 metres event will be awarded with a cash prize of £150.
The flat race is scheduled to start at 20:10 GMT and six quality runners are lined up for it. Their names are as follows: Mountjoy Rock, Valentia Zig, Glideaway Hi, Tyrur Cooney, Consistency and Datona Quest.
The bookies believe that Mountjoy Rock will dominate the proceedings at Belle Vue, as he has been doing good job in recent times. The punters will also be looking forward to win some easy money, by placing maximum number of bets on the favourite hound.
E. Parker’s trainee has got plenty of knowledge of conditions at Belle Vue, which will work in his favour. He has done some solo runs at the venue in recent times and has been setting some impressive trial times, which will give him a lot of confidence
for today’s race.
However, Mountjoy Rock was unable to deliver a winning performance in his previous grade OR race at Romford. He got off to a decent start, but failed to finish on top of the table. Despite that, the result was not that bad, as he finished runner up.
The black dog is expected to turn things around quickly, but he will need a solid start today. He is the son of Black Shaw out of Noelles Amarillo and was born in November 2008.
On the other hand, the bookmakers have also given good odds to Valentia Zig, who has been doing well recently. He has mostly been doing trial runs, which suggests that he might be out of racing form at the moment.
L. Troughton’s trained hound is the son of Zigzag Stewart out of Valentia Show and was born in December 2009.
Although no other runner seems to be in a position to win today, Glideaway Hi might pull off a surprise, as he has got plenty of experience at Belle Vue. However, he will not find things easy in this class and will have to work extremely hard to give
a tough time to his rivals.
