Mountleader Rory likely to win the Stondon Midi
Mountleader Rory is expected to prevail in the Stondon Midi at Henlow in England on Thursday, June 28, 2012, and for winning the Grade OR event, the winner will receive the prize money £150.
Things will be quite interesting in the 550 metres race, which is scheduled to start at 21:53 GMT, as there are some decent runners lined up for action.
However, the momentum appears to be with, Mountleader Rory, who will attract a lot of bets from the punters today.
The F. Axford’s trainee has been running at Henlow for quite some time now, which means he will be fully aware of the conditions at the track. Furthermore, his recent form has been impressive - which will give a lot of hope to his fans.
Although, the blue dog has taken part in very few Grade OR events, but his performances in other classes have been good.
He has won three out of his previous five events, thus it will be hard for his opponents to overhaul him in today's race.
Droopys Maldini’s sont, out of Mountleader Mela, has taken part in five Grade OR events in total, and has gone on to win just one. Importantly, his victory came in a 550 metres race at Henlow, just a couple of weeks ago.
Mountleader Rory was rated as the favourite to win back then, and he lived up to the expectations, as he entered the race from trap number five and soon took the lead over his rivals.
He also proved to have an excellent stamina, as no one was able to come anywhere close to him until the end.
However, the favourite hound was unable to deliver a similar show in his most recent run, as he finished third overall. He was a touch unlucky that time, but his fans will be hoping for some good fortune today.
Meanwhile the bookies have given a better starting price to, Midway Rouble, who has got plenty of experience at this level.
He has won numerous races at this level, but has been unable to deliver a strong show in recent times.
The H. Chalkley’s trained hound finished fifth in his previous Grade OR event, thus there is a doubt over his ability to shine today.
