Real Madrid boss, Jose Mourinho, has reflected on the tumultuous year of 2012 and what it has meant for his club.
The year has not ended well for the capital-based club. Their veteran goal-keeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Iker-Casillas-c16815, was dropped on the bench for the 3-2 loss to Malaga. That was the first time Casillas was left out from the squad for an important match in nearly 10 years.
The loss against the Andalusians has surely ended any hope Los Blancos had for retaining their La Liga title this season.
Other than that, this year was also a great one for Real Madrid. They have managed to win the Primera Division after four years and also won the Supercopa de Espana too.
Now that Mourinho is off for the holidays, his concentration is on his family and relatives as he wants to spend quality time with them.
The tactician mentioned that the holiday is the perfect opportunity for family reunion since he was away from them for nine years.
“It is time to be with your family, especially for my family since we have been away from home for nine years and Christmas is the only opportunity we have to be with our closest family.”
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan coach revealed that one of the things that he cherishes the most has been watching his children grow up nicely.
“The best thing has been watching my children grow up happy and healthy and to know I have a fantastic family and that those family members in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 are all healthy and waiting to enjoy Christmas with us.”
After talking about his family and the value of the holiday season, the 49-year-old then turned his attention on the things that he has managed to achieve as a Real Madrid boss. He stated that he fulfilled one of the club’s major objectives, bringing La
Liga crown to the Santiago Bernabeu.
“In professional terms, we won La Liga this year, which was something I hadn’t achieved before, and it was one of the club’s main objectives for 2012.”
Mourinho’s men are now 16 points behind La Liga leaders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.
