The Portuguese mentor has expressed that a friendly fixture will not falter his side’s resolve to secure victory.
Real Madrid’s head coach, Jose Mourinho, has claimed that his men will hope for nothing less than a win as they lock horns against the Kuwait national team.
Los Blancos are set to travel to the Middle-East in order to take up the challenge of Kuwait in an exhibition match on Tuesday.
Mourinho stressed that he will not consider resting his top players as the match is only a friendly game, claiming that Los Vikingos will go into the match with the intent to emerge victorious.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan boss reiterated to do everything possible to make sure that the prestige of the newly-crowned champions of the Spanish La Liga is elevated.
The 49-year-old paid little attention to the burnout factor which some of his players might be experiencing. However, with the whole Los Blancos squad travelling to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kuwait-c2935, it definitely means that Mourinho will be resting a few important players.
However, the match does present itself as a chance for players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Esteban-Granero-c12919 to make their mark on the Santiago Bernabeu outfit. These players rarely featured throughout the current season’s campaign.
While talking to reporters, Mourinho quoted:
"We know it's a friendly, but Real Madrid always have to elevate their prestige as much as possible. That's why we've travelled with the entire team. Everyone will play tomorrow to honour their names and the prestige of Real Madrid. They are a little tired
because of the tough season we had, but everyone's in good form.”
"We have respect for Kuwait's national team, but people should realise we just celebrated winning the league title, we had a seven-hour flight and we've hardly trained for this. We intend to play a good game, though, and we'll try to win."
The Spanish giants have enjoyed a significantly successful campaign this season as they have finally managed to break Barcelona’s dominance over Spanish football, establishing themselves as a destructive force across Europe.
Not only have the Whites secured the Liga BBVA title, they also broke the record for the highest number of points secured in one season, as they managed to beat Mallorca on the last date and took their personal tally to 100 league points.
