Jose Mourinho recently praised his side, Real Madrid, and the team’s direct rivals, Barcelona, during a press conference.
The Portuguese mentor is of the opinion that Real Madrid and Barcelona are teams who are above all the other football-playing sides in the world.
Last season both these clubs were able to finish in the last four of the UEFA Champions League, and even though they were the favourites to qualify for the final of the prestigious European tournament, they were unable to do so.

Chelsea were the weakest side on paper, but they still managed to win the tournament eventually.
Barcelona were considered to be the favourites to beat Chelsea in the semi-finals and even though the Spanish giants lost the away leg against the Blues, they were unable to win at home, and drew the game 2-2 and got knocked out.
On the other hand, Real Madrid reached the semi-final stage of the European tournament and had to face the German giants, Bayern Munich.
Madrid lost the first leg 2-1 at Allianz Arena, and they were expected to win the game at the Santiago Bernabeu. Even though Jose Mourinho’s men were able to secure a 2-1 win at home, the match went on to penalties and Real Madrid lost the game.
Jose Mourinho, while giving out his opinion about the two Spanish giants, expressed that both the Spanish clubs are spectacular and are better than all the other teams in the world.
Mourinho also named the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United, and said that he believes Madrid and Barca are up a notch as compared to all these other clubs.
While speaking about the two Spanish clubs, Jose Mourinho said:
"What I used to say is that every club in the world goes to the Spanish league would finish third.”
"Man City goes there, Manchester United goes there, Chelsea goes there. Who else? They finish third because the two best teams in the world are in the same league, so of course to the others, it is a big difference."
Barcelona and Madrid are again the favourites to compete for the Spanish La Liga trophy and the UEFA Champions League title as well.
