Jose Mourinho came out in the open and compared his side with La Blaugrana, claiming that Los Blancos are the side who have won more trophies by breaking records, and they deserve recognition.
The Portuguese coach recently praised his side’s record-breaking season, which also helped them win the Spanish La Liga title.
The Primera Division was being dominated by Barcelona, but last season, Jose Mourinho was able to help his side win the domestic title.
Barcelona finished second in the league and their coach, Josep Guardiola, decided to take a year off from work.
On the other hand, Real Madrid were able to break all sorts of records, but they were still not being hailed as the ‘best team in the world’.
Jose Mourinho believes that the football fans around the world believe that football can only be played in a single way, and that is the only way they find it beautiful. However, he thinks that there are many styles of playing football and his side have
adopted a different one and that is one of the reasons why they are not known as the best around the world.
The Portuguese mentor claimed that Real Madrid are the side who won the Spanish league last season and they are the ones who managed to do it by breaking a lot of records.
Therefore, he was of the opinion that Los Blancos should also be considered on the same level as La Blaugrana.
While speaking about his side, the Portuguese mentor said:
“There is a group of philosophers who think that there is only one way to play football. There are many ways and the two teams are at an equal level, albeit with different styles.”
“The team with the records is Madrid. We were the ones with more points, more goals, more wins… and it seems that the team has no right to take its deserved place in history.”
Real Madrid are currently eight points behind their arch-rivals, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, and their domestic rivals, Atletico Madrid.
The most recent fixture against La Blaugrana finished in a 2-2 draw, and Los Blancos were unable to reduce the gap between them and the league leaders.
