The Great Scot has taken out time to discuss his potential replacement as the head of affairs at Old Trafford, tipping the Special One as a likely contender.
Manchester United head coach, Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson, has suggested that Real Madrid’s Jose Mourinho could take over the reins at the English giants when he decides to call it a day.
The veteran trainer was full of praise for the Portuguese mentor as he went on to claim that he has potential to succeed in anywhere. In addition, he admired the way Mourinho has handled things during his career.
Fergie, who is arguably the greatest manager of all time, discussed the first time he noticed the 49-year-old tactician when he took over at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. The United boss humorously remarked that Mourinho had initially appeared too cocky.
However, he maintained that the Madrid manager is able to carry his arrogant very well as he is a brilliant strategist which compliments his charisma in tremendous fashion.
"He can manage anywhere, absolutely," Sir Alex told an ITV4 documentary.
"I would never think a guy who hasn’t played a game could be a top coach but then you’ve got to look at his personality. He’s got a marvellous, strong personality and that bridges that gap.
"I remember his first press conference [at Chelsea] and I thought, 'Christ, he’s a cocky b*****, him'. He was telling the players, 'Look, I’m the special one, we don’t lose games'.
Mou and Sir Alex were known to share a comprehensively competitive relationship as their respective teams remained at loggerheads back in the day. However, once the former Porto boss left the Stamford Bridge, his relationship with the Scotsman changed its
dimension.
Apparently, the two men have great respect for one another and always have words of approval to offer for each other.
The Red Devils’ manager also revealed that he is great friends with the Special One and that the two share a healthy relationship.
"When he comes into my office he can take a joke against himself, that is what I like about him. I give him a lot of stick and he laughs it off.”
