The Portuguese coach defended his team player, Cristiano Ronaldo, and stated how it is much harder to play like Ronaldo and easier to play like the Argentinean skipper, Lionel Messi.
There has been a lot of discussion comparing the two giants of football, Lionel Messi and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629.
While some claim that Ronaldo is the best player in the world, the others claim that what Messi brings to his team, no other player can do the same.
Most recently, Jose Mourinho came at the defence of his Portuguese counterpart, Cristiano Ronaldo, and explained how it is much harder to play like the Portuguese skipper as compared to the Argentine star.
Mourinho stated that Messi has been playing with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 since his childhood and that is why he has chemistry with the team. On the other hand, he said that Ronaldo has come all the way from England and he has still managed to gel with the new team-mates
who he had to get united with a few years ago.
While speaking about the Portuguese star, Mourinho said:
“I’ll say more. It is harder to be Cristiano http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296, who grew up with the team and the teammates with whom he is now playing.”
“Cristiano was in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and was brought here to a team that had lost its dynamic. He has had to grow over the last two years in a team that is still being formed.”
Moreover, Mourinho also spoke about the position which the two players are deployed in during the game.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 boss stated that while Ronaldo has to defend and attack, both, because of his position on the wing, Lionel Messi is playing as a false 9, which means that he does not have to travel a lot of distance.
“One plays as a No 9 or a No 9.5 and there, within 50 square metres, in that area, the distance to the goal is less and the defensive space less intense.”
“The other plays out wide, he is a winger. How is it that a winger scores the same goals as a forward?”
The two players recently came face to face during El Clasico and they were both able to score two goals apiece, as the match finished 2-2.
