Barcelona defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dani-Alves-c9869 has claimed that Real Madrid head coach, Jose Mourinho, is envious of the Catalan club and its players…
The Brazilian international has expressed his views stating that Barcelona are currently the best club in the world, a fact which would be a cause of envy for anyone.
The defender has claimed that the Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho, is also among those who envy La Blaugrana.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been Champions of the Spanish Primera division for the past three seasons. They have also added three La Liga titles and two Champions League triumphs to their achievements while being headed by Josep Guardiola.
The Catalan club have evolved into one of the best teams in the modern game. Their current team is considered to be one of the strongest squads in the history of football.
Barcelona recently became Champions of the World after they defeated Brazilian outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532, in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup. However, Jose Mourinho commented that the Catalans deserved his congratulations for winning ‘two little games’.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Alves has revealed that he is convinced at how the team has performed. He retorted towards Mourinho’s comments rather harshly.
According to the club’s official website, he was quoted as saying:
"To play these ‘small games,’ as he says, you have to win the Champions League. We have done that and that’s why we are happy. Envy is a bad thing.”
The Brazilian expressed his confidence in La Blaugrana, stating that they were not inferior to any club in the world. In fact, he claimed that even Real Madrid were inferior to them, regarding success in recent times.
“We aren’t bothered by Madrid because we don’t feel like we are inferior to them, and if you don’t feel inferior to those that criticise you, it doesn’t bother you,” he stated.
“However, I am bothered by their continuous effort to discredit our accomplishments. There’s always a ‘but,’ or a ‘why.’ That’s the only thing I do not understand. But I understand that it’s an un-winnable war, we only try to compete well and make it difficult
for others," he added.
Real Madrid are currently at the top of La Liga standings, as Barcelona trail behind them due to a three-point gap.
