Real Madrid came back to salvage a point after their 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund at Bernabeu, but their coach Jose Mourinho was critical of the referee
The referee ruled out Jose Maria Callejon’s goal as an offside just after the interval, but Mourinho believes the goal was legal and should have stood.
The Portuguese coach feels his side were hard done for the night. He admitted that he was disappointed with the fact that only two goals were allowed to stand out of the three goals his side netted.
“I have to say I'm disappointed with this draw. Because we scored three good goals and only two were given,” Mourinho explained.
The Real boss defended Callejon’s goal and feels his performance of the night was spectacular.
“Jose was great and scored a legal goal. He was fresh and dynamic.”
Moreover, Mourinho hailed the performance of his team. He believes his side displayed a performance that cheered and entertained the fans.
“The team did a great http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, and the fans were behind them all the way. If I was one of them, I'd have loved to watch a game like tonights.”
The 49-year-old also shared his thoughts on what it will mean for Real if they finish second in this group and if this possibility could have a negative impact on their chances of winning this competition.
The Portuguese doesn’t believe this will change anything and said that he has already won the Champions League when his teams came second in the group.
“I have won the Champions League before when my teams have come second. It's not a problem.”
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund coach, Jurgen Klopp admitted his team was fortunate to come away with the 2-2 draw against the Spanish Champions at the stadium of Bernabeu.
Klopp believes when teams who are coming to Bernabeu don’t have luck on their side then usually they concede so many goals.
“We’ve had some luck. If you have no luck here [at the Bernabeu], you concede eight goals.”
The 45-year-old did not forget to praise the performance of his team and appreciate the result of the night.
