With the Spanish Supercup about to kick off, Jose Mourinho is positive about the results which Madrid have picked up against Barcelona recently.
Barcelona and Real Madrid will be face-to-face as they take on each other during the Spanish Supercup.
The two-legged Supercopa de Espana is held between the Liga winners and the Copa del Rey winners. In case the same team has won both the competitions, the team finishing second faces the champions in the final.
However, Barcelona have won the Copa del Rey last season, with Real Madrid winning La Liga; therefore, these two teams are facing each other in the Supercopa de Espana.
The match has a lot of hype attached to it only due to the fact that two of the best teams in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 are going to face each other for the ultimate prize.
Moreover, the rivalry between the two teams is simply unmatched and that makes the two-legged final even more interesting.
Both the sides are considered to be on equal footing, but since Barcelona are experiencing a change in management and Tito Vilanova has recently taken charge of the Spanish club; therefore, La Blaugrana are not the favourites to come out as winners of the
Spanish Supercup.
Before the match kicks off on Thursday, Real Madrid coach, Jose Mourinho, had a few things to say regarding recent results against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.
The Portuguese mentor was positive about the fixture, stating that Madrid have managed to impress against Barcelona in the recent fixtures.
While speaking about fixtures between the two sides, Jose Mourinho stated:
“We've played well in our last games in Barcelona and they've been even matches. Last year's victory came as a consequence of many similar matches. We've played well each time we've been there recently and we've always achieved results at the limit: draws,
losses by very little... winning the last match was almost normal considering the way we've played in our last games there.”
Barcelona will be hosting Real Madrid at the Nou Camp for the first leg of the Supercopa de Espana. The Spanish champions, Real Madrid, will then entertain La Blaugrana at the Santiago Bernabeu on 29th of August.
