Despite watching his side lose out the first leg of the knockout fixture in the Copa del Rey, the Special One is convinced that Los Blancos have the ability to progress to the next stage.
Real Madrid head coach, Jose Mourinho, believes that his team are still the favourites to qualify to the next stage of the Copa del Rey.
Madrid suffered a defeat at the hands of Celta Vigo in the first leg of their Copa del Rey fixture. The match that took place at the Estadio de Balaídos saw Los Vikingos lose out with a final score of 2-1.
It was a good performance by Celta as they managed to take the competition the current Spanish champions. Despite being considered as underdogs prior to the start of the match, the hosts were able to achieve a crucial victory over the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.
Mourinho emphasized that his side will go into the second leg with an away goal which is a massive advantage. However, he maintained that his side’s opponents were the better team.
"I liked how Celta played and I think that they deserved to win the match. The result reflects what happened on the pitch, but perhaps they didn't do enough to merit scoring twice and neither did we to merit scoring once. They deserved to win the match,
but I still think we are favourites to win the tie and I'd like to think that we will go through,” said the 49-year-old.
"There is no great drama, everything is still to be played for and we know they are a good team. I'd rather lose here today than to do it in the league because we can do something about this. I think we saw the same match and you can criticise the coach
and his decisions, but maybe it is not always only the coach who has to take responsibility. I take mine."

Rey.
